Feeding recommendation DOG FIT by PreThis® JOINTS
DOG FIT JOINTS is dosed according to the dog’s body weight and is optimally suited for dogs up to 10 kg (small), 10 kg – 25 kg (medium) and from 25 kg (large).
- Dogs should be given one DOG FIT JOINTS small, medium or large capsule daily, depending on their body weight.
- Dogs weighing 50 kg or more should receive two DOG FIT JOINTS large capsules daily.
For preventive dosing of small dogs, the following recommendations apply:
- Dogs weighing up to 2 kg should receive one capsule small every 2 days.
- Dogs weighing 2.5 to 3.5 kg should skip one day per week.
- Dogs weighing 3.5 to 10 kg should be given one capsule of DOG FIT JOINTS small daily.
- In cases of joint disease such as osteoarthritis in small dogs, dogs weighing up to 2 kg should skip one day per week and be given one capsule daily for dogs weighing 2 kg or more.
For hygienic reasons, the capsules should preferably be mixed in with the food or hidden in a treat. However, if the dog does not want to or cannot swallow them, the capsule can be pulled apart so that the contents can be mixed into the food or given together with some yoghurt, cottage cheese or liver sausage. As the capsules often consist of additional collagen, we recommend soaking them in water and mixing them into the food, especially with our joint preparations.
